Waubonsee Adds to Its Student Art Collection

“Squeeze,” an acrylic painting by Jennifer Her, of North Aurora, is one of 11 student-created artworks purchased by Waubonsee Community College for the fall semester. The works are displayed throughout the college’s campuses.

During the fall 2011 semester, Waubonsee Community College purchased 11 pieces of student-created artwork to display around its campuses. Through its Student Art Purchase Program, which started in fall 2006, the college has acquired a total of 119 pieces of original artwork. 

This semester’s works came from Lori Barnick and Daniel Capobianco, of Geneva; Matthew Bily, Caitlin Geiger and Katelyn Rechenmacher, of Aurora; Roberto Gonzalez and Bozena Michalski, of Montgomery; Jennifer Her and Ariel Hodge, of North Aurora; and Christa Trumph, of Sugar Grove.
