Waubonsee will present a free informational scholarship seminar on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at the Sugar Grove Campus. Learn about Waubonsee Foundation scholarships, how to find other scholarship opportunities and how to write a winning essay. 

Waubonsee Event to Explain Scholarship Opportunities and Process

Waubonsee Community College will present an informational scholarship seminar at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24 in room 106 of the Student Center on the Sugar Grove Campus, Route 47 at Waubonsee Drive. The event is free and open to the public.

Staff from Waubonsee’s Financial Aid Office will discuss how to search for general college scholarships while Fund Development staff will present information about the 200 scholarships offered through the Waubonsee Community College Foundation. Scholarship materials from other area schools will also be available.

To help those students struggling with their scholarship application essay, a faculty member from Waubonsee’s English department will present tips and tricks for better writing.
