Waubonsee’s IL SBDC Partners with Entrepreneurship Center to Help Grow Area Businesses

The Illinois Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Waubonsee Community College has teamed up with the newly formed Fox Valley Entrepreneurship Center to provide free help and advice to businesses in the second stage of their lifecycle.

Selected companies will receive hands-on assistance and consulting services in areas such as technology, financing, marketing, strategic business planning and human resources.

“The SBDC at Waubonsee has been a resource in the Fox Valley area for many years,” said IL SBDC Manager Harriet Parker. “This project allows us to take our services to another level by helping businesses poised to make an economic impact in the region and by giving them the resources they need to grow but can’t afford.”

The program is being funded by a grant from the U.S. Small Business Association (SBA) Small Business Jobs Act. Interested companies can apply for the free services at the Fox Valley Entrepreneurship Center website at www.fvec.org.
