Waubonsee Art Faculty Exhibit and Curate Work

Active members of the arts scene, Waubonsee Community College faculty members recently exhibited and curated work at local galleries.

Associate Professor of Art/Ceramics Doug Jeppesen, of Sugar Grove, showed two pieces of his work as part of the “Thrown Altered: Vessels Out of Round” exhibit at the College of Lake County. Jeppesen was one of the show’s 14 artists who were asked to start their work on a wheel but then manipulate it in some way.

Assistant Professor of Art Heather Weber, of Berwyn, curated the “Awkward Beauty” exhibition at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. That show brought together the work of artists Michelle Bolinger and Diane Cooper, who work from and with found objects and discarded materials.
