Producers Chemical President Elected to Waubonsee Foundation Board

At its annual meeting this morning, the Waubonsee Community College Foundation elected Roger Harris, President of Producers Chemical Company, to its board of directors. He will serve a three-year term.

A resident of Geneva, Harris has spent more than 20 years as a board member for Delnor Community Hospital, which recently merged with Central DuPage Health to become the CDH-Delnor Health System. He has also been a member of the Geneva Lions Club for more than 30 years.  

Active throughout the community, Harris sits on the board of directors for St. Charles Bank and Trust and the Batavia Chamber of Commerce.

“I firmly believe in giving back to the communities in which I and company employees live and work,” Harris said.

At the meeting, the Waubonsee Foundation also re-elected several of its current directors, including Penny Cameron, former Kane County Board Member; Gerard Dempsey, Chairman/CEO of Batavia Enterprises, Inc.; Andy Faville, CEO/President of the Falex Corporation; Stan Free, Castle Bank Regional President; Dr. Diane Homan, Vice President of Quality for Rush-Copley Medical Center; Dr. Thomas Huberty, retired president of Castle Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, S.C.; and Jim Rhoades, Sales Representative for Kelmscott Communications. 

The foundation also re-elected its officers for the upcoming 2011-12 year, with Penny Cameron serving as president; Jerry Palmer, retired Vice President and General Manager for Caterpillar, Inc. — Wheel Loaders and Excavators Division, serving as vice president; and Mike Ochsenschlager, Senior Vice President of Wine Sergi Insurance, serving as secretary/treasurer.

The Waubonsee Community College Foundation is a nonprofit organization that seeks to obtain funding for scholarships and provide educational opportunities and services to students and citizens of Waubonsee’s district.
