Faculty to Serve on IBHE Committees
Several Waubonsee Community College faculty have been appointed to positions with the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) recently.
For the next three years, Assistant Professor of Communications Larry Modaff, of Lisle, will serve as a community college representative to the IBHE Faculty Advisory Council. Professor of Nursing Pat de Boom, of St. Charles, will serve as the alternate representative.
Established in 1971, the Faculty Advisory Council consists of 12 public university representatives, 12 private and proprietary school representatives, and 12 community college representatives. Currently, the group is focused on advancing the Illinois Public Agenda for College and Career Success.
Linking the goals of that agenda to the state’s higher education budgeting process is the goal of the IBHE’s Higher Education Performance Funding Steering Committee. Waubonsee Assistant Professor of Mathematics Tom Pulver, of Glen Ellyn, will serve on that committee as part of his duties as a member of the Illinois Community College Board.
