Waubonsee swept the automotive refinishing category as well, with Jordan Herrera, of Marengo, taking first place; Andrew Butzow, of Marengo, taking second; and Jose Martinez-Joya, of Carpentersville, finishing third.

Joseph Lemire, of Plano, represented Waubonsee’s CNC program with a second place finish in that category.

Dwyer and Herrera will go on to compete at the National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, Ky., in June.
