Ready, Set, Explore at Waubonsee’s Sugar Grove Campus Open House on April 15

Waubonsee Community College will host an open house at its Sugar Grove Campus on Saturday, April 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. The event is family-friendly, free, and open to the public.

Waubonsee Honors Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage in April

Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, observed from May 1 through May 31, honors the many contributions and accomplishments of Asian Americans, Pacific Islander Americans, and Native Hawaiians. During the month of April, Waubonsee Community College will celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month to pay tribute before the spring semester ends to the generations of Asian and Pacific Islanders who have enriched our history. This month-long programming is free and open to the public.  

Women Pursuing Manufacturing Fields

Women’s History Month is the perfect opportunity to honor women who work in the manufacturing field. Women make up 47% of the total workforce but they only represent 30% of the workforce in the manufacturing industry. Women in this field work hard and they are outnumbered, which can be challenging. However, for those who have the passion, the opportunities are endless and the payoff is worth it.

As Toyota's Field Technical Specialist for Central and Southern Illinois and Northwestern Indiana, Galvez ignites futures for students enrolled in Waubonsee's Automotive Technology Program as an employer partner. 

Waubonsee Announces 2023-2024 Tuition Rates

The Waubonsee Community College Board of Trustees has approved tuition rates for the 2023-2024 academic year. Beginning with the fall 2023 semester, the college’s in-district and online tuition rate will increase from $132 to $135 per credit hour, which represents a 2.27 percent increase. The student fee will remain the same at $8 per credit hour.
