Waubonsee History Faculty To Gain Global Perspective

Two members of Waubonsee Community College’s history faculty have been selected to participate in an American Historical Association program designed to promote a more global perspective on U.S. history.

Assistant Professor Dr. Amy Powers and Associate Professor Dr. Timothy Draper, both of DeKalb, are two of just 24 community college faculty members nationwide chosen to join “American History, Atlantic and Pacific.” Through online activities, two seminars and a final conference, Powers and Draper will get the knowledge and tools they need to create or revise U.S. history courses to include a wider perspective on the country’s relation to the rest of the world.
