Students walking to class

Sugar Grove – Waubonsee Community College invites prospective students and their families to learn and grow at its Transfer and Career Open House at the Sugar Grove Campus on April 20 from 1 to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

At this event, recent or upcoming high school graduates and adult learners who want to start or continue college can receive personalized help from Waubonsee's staff. The guidance will cover various aspects such as career fields, transfer programs, enrollment, and information about the financial aid process. Faculty from popular programs will be available to answer questions. There will be a prize drawing for a free class (up to a $500 value), plus giveaways and treats while supplies last.

Waubonsee offers a quality education at a lower price, which can save students 60-80% compared to similar courses at four-year colleges. Students who enroll at Waubonsee benefit from earning affordable transferable general education credit through course schedules and formats that prioritize flexibility and convenience. With MyChoice, students can choose from five different ways to take courses based on what works best for their schedule. These options include face-to-face, online, hybrid, sync online, and flex classes.

With more than 40 student clubs and organizations, 15 sports teams (including Esports), and diverse programming offered year-round, including free access to the college's newly re-opened Fitness Center, there is something for all students who enroll at Waubonsee.

Most summer courses start on May 20, June 10, or July 8. Fall registration begins May 6, with most courses beginning on Aug. 19. Visit waubonsee.edu/visit for more information and to RSVP for the Transfer and Career Open House.
