We offer more than 35 areas of study for transfer degrees and more than 130 occupational degrees and certificates in today's most in-demand fields, like nursing, computer information systems and health care  — with more than 1,000 credit courses available. Our programs promise a high-quality learning experience without the limitations of a standard, four-year institution. Students enjoy small classes with focused, personalized instruction from our distinguished faculty; competitive, affordable tuition; and flexible options like online, weekend, and evening courses — so you can get your education how and when you want it. Whether you're in the classroom at one of our area campuses or at home learning online, you’ll be supported by a network of faculty and staff dedicated to helping you achieve your academic, professional and personal goals.

Where personalized education takes shape
It's easier to get where you're going when you have the right guide. More than anything else, Waubonsee’s success can be traced directly to one thing: our dedicated staff and faculty. These true mentors are committed to helping you discover your dreams, unlock your potential and shape your future.

Waubonsee’s instructors take great pride in giving students individual attention on a first-name basis, which is rarely found at larger, four-year institutions. Because they place their focus on teaching rather than research, your education gets our undivided attention. Students benefit from one-on-one instruction, real-world experience and unique customized learning solutions. Plus, our broad program selection never stops growing, incorporating emerging topics and responding to community feedback.

The student population we serve is similarly broad, including everyone from traditional college-age students to returning adult students to military veterans

Where vibrant student life takes shape
Sure, it's hard work — but who says college can’t be exciting? In addition to great academics, Waubonsee also offers you opportunities to get involved outside the classroom, with a wide variety of student clubs and activities. Our 13 sports teams compete in the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference, consisting of schools in the suburban Chicagoland area. Each year, the Waubonsee Chiefs capture several Skyway titles and consistently contend for the conference’s annual All-Sports Trophy which the college recently captured for the 2010-2011 academic year.

Where progress takes shape
For nearly 45 years, Waubonsee has been the local area's cornerstone of education — and we have always put the needs of our students first. While it's true that those needs have evolved over time, the College's vast, living network of student services has advanced to keep pace. By continuing to upgrade and update our resources and facilities, Waubonsee is always ready to meet the current and emerging challenges facing our community.

It’s true: Waubonsee is growing, and our students are growing with us. The Sugar Grove Campus recently added three new buildings to enhance student life and learning, including the Student Center, Science Building, and Academic and Professional Center. We also opened a new campus in Plano in January 2011 and a new downtown Aurora Campus in June 2011. This means bigger and better classrooms and labs, nicer common areas, and more places to study on campus.

Waubonsee can get your future in focus. We invite you to become a part of our growing campus community. If you have not yet scheduled a campus visit, come see what Waubonsee has for you.
