Secure Wireless Access

WCC-Secure wireless provides fast, secure and easy-to-use Internet access at Waubonsee's four campuses, including Sugar Grove (all buildings except for Auto Body Building), Aurora, Copley and Plano. Please remember that WCC-Secure is a shared resource, meaning your actions affect others on the network. By following our wireless guidelines (PDF), you can help make WCC-Secure a great service for everyone.

Waubonsee Community College offers two types of wireless networks: encrypted (secure) and unencrypted (non-secure). Students, faculty and staff members are encouraged to use WCC-Secure, logging in with their X-number and mywcc/network password.

Campus visitors and guests who wish to utilize a secure wireless Internet connection must work with an on-campus host to gain an access code. The sponsor/host must choose the WCC-Guest Wireless Access Resource as part of their room/event request using their AdAstra user id and password. Groups attending an event in the Academic and Professional Center Event Room will have general access codes to WCC-Guest created for and distributed to them.
