Part of the Fire Officer I program, this course provides basic training in the principle aspects of fire inspection, investigation, protection, and education. Participants will learn about life safety, hazards and corrections, codes and code enforcement, public education process and Fire Prevention Bureau management.

Note: The Fire Officer I program is approved by the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal. The OSFM certification exam will be offered as the final exam for each course. Prior learning credit may be available with your Office of State Fire Marshall certifications. Fee includes: All materials.
