Part of the Fire Officer I program, this course provides the basics of fire officer management and an overview of the relationship of government agencies to fire service. Participants will learn about the role of the fire officer, management principles, organizational concepts, staffing strategies and motivation techniques, and performance evaluations.

Note: The Fire Officer I program is approved by the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal. The OSFM certification exam will be offered as the final exam for each course. Prior learning credit may be available with your Office of State Fire Marshall certifications. Fee includes: All materials.
