(Bristol, IL.)  Waubonsee Community College dominated the field at the first Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) golf match of the 2015 season. Led by sophomore Matt Yonkovich, coach Dave Heiss' squad carded a team total of 303 to easily grab the top spot. Second place Moraine Valley Community College was 12 strokes back, while third place Elgin Community College finished with a distant 335. Oakton Community College was fourth with a team total of 339 and the College of Lake County was fifth tallying a 366.

Yonkovich grabbed medalist honors by posting a sizzling 68 for his round. The Kaneland High School graduate shot an even par 36 on the front nine holes at Blackberry Oaks Golf Course, the Chiefs' home course. Yankovich then pulled away from the rest of the field by carding a 4-under 32 on the back nine to win the individual crown by seven strokes. Elgin's Greg Wiitanen and Moraine Valley's Matt Contey each tied for second by turning in a 3-over par 75. Waubonsee's Noah Lindmark fired a 5-over par 77, while Jacob Cook and Jon Hvasta each posted a 79. Zack Zamin finished with an 81 to round out the Chiefs' competitors.

The second of the ISCC's five conference matches is set for Wednesday, September 9 at Bittersweet Golf Course in Gurnee, the home course of the College of Lake County.
