Waubonsee Hosts Poetry Out Loud Event to Celebrate National Poetry Month

Poets, aspiring poets and lovers of poetry alike will be welcome to read selections of their own work or favorite works of others during Waubonsee Community College’s second annual Poetry Out Loud event Thursday, April 10.

Scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the Todd Library in Collins Hall on Waubonsee’s Sugar Grove Campus, Route 47 at Waubonsee Drive, the event will be held to celebrate National Poetry Month.

The event is free and open to the public.

No advanced registration is required, as the event will feature a “very casual, open mic” structure, said Poetry Out Loud organizer and Waubonsee Librarian Kathleen Bartel.
