Waubonsee Student Art Selected for Skyway Juried Art Exhbition

The artwork of two Waubonsee Community College students has been selected for inclusion in the 2014 Skyway Juried Art Exhibition.

The works selected were an acrylic painting, “Anything But This,” by student Patrick Kenny, of Batavia, and an archival inkjet print, “Death’s Brother,” by Christopher Lucero, of Aurora.

The artwork will be on display at the exhibition and competition site in Building A at McHenry County College in Crystal Lake until April 8.

The exhibition and competition includes work produced by students attending the two-year colleges within the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference, which includes Waubonsee, McHenry, Elgin Community College, College of Lake County and others in Chicago’s suburbs.

From April 21-May 11, the works by Kenny and Lucero, along with 23 other works by Waubonsee students, will be included in Waubonsee’s Spring 2014 Skyway Selections Exhibition in the Arrowhead Room, located in Dickson Center on Waubonsee’s Sugar Grove Campus, Route 47 at Waubonsee Drive.
