Password Resets
If you are requesting a password reset and have not yet tried the Online Password Reset System, please do so now. Given the volume of requests being received, that method may get you back into the system sooner.

To request one on one assistance or ask a specific question, please use the online ServiceDesk system, choose the Student Technology Assistance option, and then Software and Technology Assistance. 

Computers/Hardware/Equipment Loans 

You may need to borrow a laptop, webcam or other equipment to complete your coursework. We have you covered. 

To request equipment, please use the online ServiceDesk system, choose the Student Technology Assistance option, and then Device Checkout.

Software 

Microsoft Office 
Students have free access to Microsoft Office software, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and more.

In order to sign up for free Microsoft Office:

1. Go to the Office365 Education website

2. Enter your Waubonsee email address and click “get started”

3. Select “I’m a student” and create your account

Google Drive 
You can also accomplish some of these same tasks with Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and more, which are also free. Visit the Online and Technical Support page in mywcc to learn more. 

Software Help
If you need some help with a particular software - installing it, using it, etc. - please let us know! Use the online ServiceDesk system and complete the Software and Technology Assistance form.

Canvas Orientation 

A great way to get comfortable with Canvas, which is Waubonsee's online learning platform, is to explore the always-available, online, free, self-paced Student Canvas Orientation. Once there, choose "Modules" on the left and then pick and choose the topics you need to get familiar with. Options include:

• Using Canvas on Your Phone or Tablet
• Updating Your Profile
• Viewing and Accessing Assignments
• Taking Quizzes
• How to Check Your Grades
• Participating in Discussions
• and so many more! 

Accessing Your Canvas Courses

In order to access your courses in Canvas, log in to mywcc and click on the top link labeled Canvas. 

Canvas Training
You can also get trained on these topics by staff in our virtual Canvas training sessions. Check Waubonsee's calendar for upcoming dates. 

Canvas Help and Support 
Of course, we're also happy to offer more individualized support. Simply complete the Canvas Support form in our online ServiceDesk system. For simpler, quicker questions and answers, use the Library Technical Support Live Chat. 

Sync Online and some other courses may incorporate a real-time video conferencing tool, such as Zoom. Read the Student's Guide to Zoom (pdf) for helpful tips for getting started.

Even if you never come to campus, you can still access all the services you need. Key student services are reachable by phone and email, and many others have online chat and even virtual meetings. Check out the Services Directory for a quick reference.
