Studying Auto Body Repair at Waubonsee

Real-world, hands-on preparation is the hallmark of this award-winning program, as our students repair an average of 78 vehicles each year in our Sugar Grove Campus Auto Body building. Off campus, they put their abilities to the test at SkillsUSA. Since 2008, Waubonsee students have earned four first place awards, seven second place awards, and two third place awards in state competitions. Several students have also placed at the National SkillsUSA competition.

Such success stems from dedicated faculty and high-quality facilities. Our Auto Body building houses some of the most modern and sophisticated equipment, tools and systems in the industry. Waubonsee’s facilities and program are compliant with the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants and have been certified so by the Illinois Environment Protection Agency (EPA). As a result, you’ll earn your personal EPA certification during the program, which is required for those working in the field.
