ILLINOIS COMMUNITY COLLEGE BOARD
PARAPROFESSIONAL TEST PREPARTION COURSE DELIVERY GRANT

Illinois Community College Board has awarded Waubonsee Community College a second year of funding for the Paraprofessional Test Preparation Course Delivery Project. This grant requires a partnership between colleges, regional offices of education, school districts and education unions. Funding is provided to help paraprofessionals who elect to meet the No Child Left Behind requirements by successfully completing either the ACT WorkKeys or the ETS ParaPro Assessments.

KANE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND EDUCATION
SOFT (SUCCESS) SKILLS TRAINING

Waubonsee Community College Business Services successfully submitted a proposal to provide Soft Skills Training at the three area One-Stop Centers located in Elgin, DeKalb and North Aurora. This program, administered by the Kane County Department of Employment and Education, serves adult and dislocated workers and includes:

  • Job Seeker and Employment Retention Skills Training
  • Computer Skills Training
  • Job Skills for individuals with Limited English Proficiency

Funding for this project is provided by the River Valley Workforce Investment Board, a Proud Member of America’s Workforce Network.
