DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE

The DDC-4 course contains the same tried-and-true defensive driving techniques and concepts that have been presented to millions of drivers for more than 30 years. Many lives have been saved as a result of the defensive driving techniques taught by dedicated instructors, many of whom are from a law enforcement background.

The goal of the National Safety Council's Defensive Driving Course-4 is to provide drivers with knowledge and safe driving techniques to prevent collisions and violations. The course focuses on collision prevention through hazard recognition and application of collision-avoidance techniques. In addition, the course addresses common driving violations that result in collisions and how to change driving habits to eliminate moving violations.

In this particular course, more emphasis is placed on the issues of personal control and responsibility behind the wheel. Sometimes there are situations where no right or wrong answers exists, but there are options to determine the safest action. Participants learn to make the better choice.
