Adult Basic Education (ABE) / General Educational Development (GED)
ABE

Adult Basic Education classes offer instruction in math, vocabulary, reading comprehension and writing skills. These skills are needed for success in the workplace, the community, and for education. Adults, 16 years of age and older, who have not graduated from an American high school and are no longer attending school, are eligible to enroll. In addition to excellent instructors, many classes also have literacy volunteers who work one-on-one with students. Classes are offered at all three college campus locations as well as many other locations in the community. The flexible schedule includes morning, afternoon, evening and weekend classes.

GED

GED test preparation classes are available for adults, 16 years of age and older, who have not graduated from high school. These classes prepare students to take and pass all five parts of the GED (General Educational Development) test. Successful students will receive a high school equivalency diploma. Classes are offered on all three campuses as well as many other locations in the community. The flexible schedule includes morning, afternoon, evening and weekend classes.
