For individuals looking for a quick math brush up, the Learning Enhancement Center sponsors workshops in the summer, fall, and spring semesters. The workshops are entitled Basic Math Review, Algebra Review and Geometry Review.

There is a $20.00 fee per session. You may register through Admissions and Records in Dickson Center. If you have any questions about the workshops, stop in the Learning Enhancement Center, Collins Hall, Room 144 or call (630) 466-7900, ext. 2409 or e-mail the Learning Enhancement Center.

In addition to attending a workshop, we suggest the following options to help you prepare for the math assessment:

• If a light review is needed, the WCC bookstore sells both basic math and algebra flip charts. These charts offer reviews with various concepts.
• A math text can be checked out from a library. Problems can be worked and answers checked. Some libraries may have math videos.
• A COMPASS review text is available for short term loan in the Todd Library. A Compass Test Study Guide is available, for a fee, online at Compass-test.com.

• A math review book or math software can be purchased from the self-help section of a bookstore. Once again, the individual should work through the problems. Concentration should be on unfamiliar areas.
