Waubonsee improved to 8-1 in Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference play with an 85-66 victory over Prairie State College, to remain atop the league standings. The Chiefs shot nearly 50 percent from the floor (30 of 61) overall, 45 percent from three-point range (5 of 11), and 90 percent (20 of 22) from the foul line. Waubonsee gradually pulled away in the first half and secured a 38-25 lead at halftime. The Chiefs then maintained a double-digit lead throughout the second half and cruised to their 18th win of the season.

For the second straight game, the Chiefs had five players reach double figures in scoring. Melvin Rowe led Waubonsee with 22 points and seven rebounds. Deontray Dorsey booked 21 points, dished out six assists and made three steals. Jarvis Griffin tallied 15 points, Marcus Franklin added 12 points to go along with three steals, and John Wiliams chipped in with 10 points and four assists. Point guard Marquise Thomas handed out six assists in the victory.
