Chiefs win 12th straight, clinch at least a share of ISCC title as they move to 11-0 in conference and 20-7 overall
Opponent: Chiefs at Cyclones
83 - 78 (W)
Waubonsee clinched at least a share of the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference title with a hard fought 83-78 victory at Moraine Valley Community College. The Chiefs (20-7, 11-0) extended their winning streak to 12 games, one shy of the program's record set in 2014. Waubonsee led 46-40 at the end of the first half and held off the second-place Cyclones (15-9, 7-3) down the stretch to remain unbeaten in ISCC play. The Chiefs need just one more win to secure the outright ISCC crown for the second time in the last three years.
As she has done so many times this season, returning All-American Julianna Wadsworth paced Waubonsee in scoring. The sophomore forward tallied 22 points, handed out three assists and made four steals. Jenae Rowe posted a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Coriesha Bailey chipped in with 15 points and five assists to raise her season total to 190. Bailey is now poised to break Waubonsee's single-season mark of 191 assists, set by Ashley Cooper in 2005-2006. In addition, Elizabeth Skaggs recorded 15 points and Tynia Flores contributed nine points.
