Wadsworth becomes first Chiefs' player to reach 1,000 points, Bailey sets assist mark as Waubonsee wins 11th straight

Waubonsee continued to roll along as the Chiefs' winning streak reached 11 games with a resounding 84-34 victory over last place Lake County (1-21, 1-9). In the process Julianna Wadsworth became the first Waubonsee women's basketball player to ever reach the 1,000 point plateau. Wadsworth needed just four points to achieve that milestone, which she did early in the game on her way to scoring a game-high 31 points. The sophomore forward also hauled down 10 rebounds, handed out seven assists and made four steals. Point guard Coriesha Bailey posted her own double-double, handing out a Waubonsee record 16 assists to go with 16 points and six steals. Libby Love chipped in with 19 points, including a trio of three-point baskets. Jenae Rowe grabbed seven rebounds, while Elizabeth Skaggs handed out five assists and recorded five steals. Waubonsee raced out to a 49-14 halftime lead en route to improving to 19-7 overall and a perfect 10-0 in Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference play.
