Waubonsee continues to dominate ISCC foes, trounces Lancers to move to 3-0 in ISCC

Waubonsee Community College women’s basketball team continued to roll along in Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference play. The Chiefs blasted the College of Lake County 94-43 for their third straight lopsided win in the ISCC. Waubonsee’s average margin of victory over those three games is a whopping 46.3 points. The Chiefs (11-7, 3-0) broke open their afternoon contest against Lake County (0-15, 0-3) in the second quarter, out scoring the winless Lancers 30-9. Leading 72-40 entering the fourth quarter, Waubonsee then reeled off 20 of the next 21 points scored to grab a 92-41 advantage. Lake County finished the final period with just three points, committing 40 turnovers for the game. In contrast the Chiefs totaled 28 assists on their 42 baskets, and recorded 21 steals.
Returning All-American Julianna Wadsworth registered her third straight stellar game with a double-double, booking 32 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. The sophomore forward also handed out eight assists and made four steals. Over three conference games the Oswego East graduate is averaging nearly 28 points per game. Freshman guard Libby Love also turned in her third straight outstanding performance. The Plano High School product netted 23 points and recorded four steals. Averaging nine points per contest during the first half of the season, Love has averaged almost 22 per game in ISCC action thus far. Despite early foul trouble Coreisha Bailey tallied 14 points, made seven steals and dished out four assists. Jenae Rowe contributed 11 points, snagged seven boards, handed out three assists and made three steals, while Jewel Hupe added four assists and three steals in the triumph.
