Lady Chiefs improve to 4-0 in ISCC, set up potential title showdown at Moraine Valley next week

Waubonsee (18-8, 4-0) took care of business in Cicero by defeating the Panthers in three straight games to remain unbeaten in Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference play. The Lady Chiefs' victory sets up a potential conference title showdown next week (Oct. 7) at Moraine Valley Community College. The Cyclones, who have won the ISCC three out of the last four years, are also 4-0 in league action. In the Lady Chiefs's win over Morton Laura Lyons sparked Waubonsee's offense with 14 kills and 16 digs, while Erin Bowe had three serving aces and 17 digs.
Ashley Prost continued to excel at setter filling in for the injured Ellie Martin as she registered 38 assists. Since being thrown into the roll midway through the Lady Chiefs' match on Sept. 19 versus Rochester, Prost has booked 351 assists. In nine full matches as Waubonsee's setter she has 327 assists, an average of 36.3 per match.
