Lady Chiefs register record-setting win over Daley College in final regular season home game

The Lady Chiefs turned in a record setting performance en route to demolishing Daley College 15-1 in Sugar Grove. Waubonsee broke one school record and tied two other team marks, while forward Andrea Binkley equaled an individual record as well. The Lady Chiefs' 15 goals broke the previous record of 14, done three times, most recently in 2011 against Carl Sandburg College. Coach Brad Schlemmer's crew also tied the school record for goals in a half as they booked nine scores in the first half, tying the mark set in that same match versus Carl Sandburg in 2011. Waubonsee's 14 goal margin of victory equaled the record also set in the 14-0 drubbing of Carl Sandburg in 2011. Binkley, a freshman from Hinckley-Big Rock High School, tallied five assists for the match, tying Jessica Cobo's achievement set in 2007 against South Suburban College.
Waubonsee out shot Daley College 35-1 for the match on their way to improving to 11-3-1 overall. Andrea Garcia booked her 15th and 16th goals of the season. Haley Kilbride notched her 10th goal of the year to go along with three assists, giving her a team-leading 11 assists on the season. Elizabeth Goll tallied her ninth goal and also added her eighth and ninth assists as well. Daniela Bueno recorded her fourth goal and contributed two assists, while Jazmine Velazquez chipped in with a pair of goals. Anne Marie Giese registered her first score of the season and had an assist. Savannah Ricker booked a 'hat trick' to give her six goals on the fall, while also helping out with two assists. Olivia Cozzoni equaled that with a 'hat trick' of her own to give her nine goals on the season. Nora Castro added her first goal of the year to round out the scoring, while Binkley's five assists upped her season total to seven in that category.
