Chiefs finish fourth in final ISCC standings, Yonkovich and Hvasta earn All-ISCC status

As they've done several times this fall, the Chiefs again came in third at an Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference match. However, Waubonsee fell to fourth in the final league standings with 14 team points after Elgin and Oakton tied for second with 16 points. Moraine Valley took the ISCC crown with 22 points, while Prairie State was fifth with seven points. However, the Pioneers had the league's top golfer as Bobby Sloan shot a 1-under par 71 to take medalist honors for the day and season with a 74.0 average. Oakton's Will Baumgartner was second with a 74.75 average.
Moraine Valley turned in a 318 to take the top spot at Blackberry Oaks Golf Course in Bristol. Elgin was second with a 321, Waubonsee carded a 326, Oakton fired a 330 and Prairie State had only three competitors and did not qualify for the team scoring. Matt Yonkovich led Waubonsee's golfers with a 2-over par 74. The freshman finished fourth overall in ISCC play with a 76.25 average to earn All-ISCC honors. John Hvasta turned in an 82 to end the ISCC season with a 79.50 average, placing ninth overall to also garner All-Conference status. Zach Ziman shot an 85, Jackson Bailey had an 86, and Blake Kauffman turned in an 87 for Waubonsee.
