Chiefs end up 12th at St. James Forest Preserve

Waubonsee finished 12th overall in the team scoring, and third among community colleges at the College of DuPage Invitational. Javier Montelongo paced the Chiefs' runners, placing 58th overall as he covered the course at St. James Forest Preserve in Warrenville with a time of 28:41. Brandon Huber finished 64th, Deonta Motley ended up 66th, John Weissensel was 70th and Nathan Pealstrom came in 77th for the Chiefs' total of 335. Joshua Robinson placed 80th and David Alvarado was 95th, while Nick Harrison, Brad Kigyos and Chris Wido all competed for Waubonsee as well.
Led by the top two finishers, Alex Bashqawi and Kyle Hauser, the University of Illinois-Chicago grabbed the team title with a total of 32 points. North Central College was second with a team score of 64 points. The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay was a distant third with 120 points. A total of 189 runners from 21 colleges participated, including six junior colleges.
