Chiefs finish 9th at rugged Falcon Invite

Waubonsee came in ninth out of 15 teams competing at the Concordia (WI) University Falcon Invite along the shores of Lake Michigan. The only full junior college squad in the field, the Chiefs finished with 301 points. The University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse dominated the meet taking five of the top six spots on their way to an almost pefect 16 points. Carthage (WI) College was second with 114 points overall. Jon Weissensel paced Waubonsee's runners by finishing 43rd with a time of 28:29. Javier Montelongo came in 53rd, with Deonta Motley right behind him in 54th place. Nick Harrison crossed the finish line 74th, while Brandon Huber took 77th place to round out the Chiefs' scoring. David Alvarado ended up 95th, Brad Kigyos was 108th and Nathan Pealstrom ended up 112th. A total of 162 runners from 21 schools competed in the men's race.
