Chiefs improve to 6-1 with win over Wolfpack

Waubonsee broke open a close game with three second half goals and cruised to a 4-1 victory in Madison, Wisconsin. The Chiefs, now 6-1 on the season and ranked 25th nationally in the latest NJCAA Division I poll, dominated most of the action as they out shot the Wolfpack 19-6 for the game. The Chiefs' Bernie Conley got Waubonsee on the board first with an assist from Rodrigo Bernal 15 minutes into the match. It remained 1-0 until midway through the second half when the Chiefs erupted for three scores within 15 minutes to put the game out of reach. Bernal registered Waubonsee's second goal off a feed from Oscar Martinez. Conley then booked his second goal of the contest at the 33:43 mark with an assist by Juan Luis Perez. Two minutes later Martinez set up David Hernandez for the Chiefs' fourth score. The Wolfpack was able to avoid the shut out by scoring with five minutes left in the game. Norberto Sanchez Jr. recorded two saves, while Daniel Reiss had three saves as the duo split time in the net for Waubonsee.
