Chiefs rally to beat South Sub on Bulldogs' turf

Waubonsee scored four times in the second half to rally for a 5-3 win on the Bulldogs' pitch. South Suburban scored midway through the first half to take an early lead. Seven minutes later Waubonsee's Diego Munoz knotted the score at one when he found the back of South Suburban's net off a free kick. It remained deadlocked at one heading into the intermission before the Chiefs took over in the second half. Jordan Escobedo's goal with an assist from Edgar Alcanter put the Chiefs in front just four minutes into the second half. South Suburban then tied the match at two with a goal midway through the second half. Just 35 seconds later Waubonsee regained the lead when Victor Corral scored off a long kick by keeper Luis Gallardo. A little more than a minute later Waubonsee got some breathing room as Corral lended a hand to David Hernandez for another goal. The Chiefs then put the game out of reach as Munoz netted his second goal of the game at the 12:59 mark, this time assisted by Bernie Conley to put Waubonsee comfortably ahead 5-2. The Bulldogs got a late goal with two minutes remaining for the final margin. Gallardo finished with a dozen saves in goal as South Suburban out shot Waubonsee 15-13.
