Chiefs finish 7th at Timber Creek Classic
Waubonsee tallied a team score of 334, good enough for seventh place at the 12-team Timber Creek Classic in Dixon. Black Hawk College's "Gold" squad took the team title with a score of 300, well ahead of second place College of DuPage which finished with a score of 314. Waubonsee was paced by Blake Huseman who shot a 9-over par 80, firing a 37 on the back nine holes. Blake Kauffman registered an 82 on the par 71 course, touted as the 'boyhood golf course' of former President Ronald Reagan. Matt Davis and Mike Wenc each carded an 86, and Jackson Bailey finished with a 95. Black Hawk College's Josh Bousman captured medalist honors with a 2-over par 73, besting teammates Kelby Rescinito and Chad Nitz by one and two strokes, respectively.
