Waubonsee placed fifth among the 10 junior colleges participating at the College of DuPage Invitational. The Chiefs tallied a team score of 127, well off the pace of first-place Harper College with only 35 points. Alec Gonzalez finished 16th among junior college athletes to lead Waubonsee at the St. James Forest Preserve in Warrenville. Abel Mosqueda placed 20th, Brandon Huber came in 25th, Nick Harrison finished 32nd, Adrian Alviar was 34th and Kristoffer Larsen was right behind him in 35th for the Chiefs. Leo Guerrero (43rd), Brad Kigyos (47th), Jerimiah Febus (49th) and Chris Wido (65th) rouned out Waubonsee's competitors. Overall 206 runners from 25 teams participated including four NCAA Division I programs, one NCAA Division II school, five NCAA Division III colleges and four NAIA affiliated squads.
