Chiefs pull away in second half to swamp Trolls

Sparked by sophomore guard Nick Townes, the Chiefs (3-1) pulled away for an 83-64 victory over Trinity Christian College's Junior Varsity. The Chiefs led just 28-26 at the break before out scoring the Trolls 55-38 in the second half. Townes scored all 14 of his points in the second half to go along with four steals to kick start the Chiefs' offense. Sophomore center Ricardo Martin posted a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Raheem Jackson tallied 20 points and dished out four assists. Roderick Adair snagged nine rebounds and registered four steals, Will Hardy handed out five assists, and Josh Lynn grabbed six boards as Waubonsee vastly out rebounded the Trolls 47-20. Trinity Christian's Evan Pratt led all scorers with 36 points, hitting 12 of 26 shot attempts including four from long range while making eight of nine from the foul stripe.
