The work of three Waubonsee Community College graphic design students will be seen across the globe thanks to a poster competition for the Emilio del Rosario Music Foundation.

Needing a poster design for its International Young Artist Piano Competition, the organization, which is based in Barrington, Ill., reached out to Waubonsee’s Associate Professor of Graphic Design John Fu, who passed the assignment on to his students.

Earning first place and the honor of having his design used to promote the competition was Anson Nguyen, of Aurora. Second place winner Katrina Grinn, of Plano, and third place winner Jeremy Hampel, of Aurora, will also have their work showcased by the foundation. Honorable mentions were given to Olivia Ward, of Yorkville, and Patrizio Fortuna, of Aurora.
