Kendall County Jobs Event to Provide Help in Tough Economy
Waubonsee Community College will host its second annual Kendall County Job and Resource Fair on Friday, June 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at its Plano Campus, 100 Waubonsee Drive. The event, which is free and open to the public, will provide job opportunities, resources and strategies for thriving in a challenging economy.
Employers from the Kendall County area will be on hand to discuss their current job openings while several community organizations will be there to provide information about their services.
Two panels of employers will discuss “How to Overcome Barriers to Employment” and share “Insiders’ Job Search Tips and Techniques.” Job seekers can participate in a demonstration of the Optimal Résumé software tool or take advantage of a computer resource room to submit online applications.

The Kendall County Job Resource Fair is the result of a collaborative effort among several communities and organizations, including the Kendall County Health Department; the Village of Oswego; and the economic development corporations of Kendall County, Montgomery, Plano, Sandwich and Yorkville.
