Waubonsee Auto Students Win at State Contest

Two Waubonsee Community College auto body students earned awards at the recent Illinois SkillsUSA competition in Springfield. SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit organization serving teachers and high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations.

Matthew Meyer, of Plano, won the Collision Repair Technology contest, while Dustin Von Eyser, of Marengo, won the Automotive Refinishing Technology category. Both students advance to the national competition in Kansas City, Mo., in June.
