Waubonsee Hosts Skyway Conference Art Exhibit

“Waubonsee Workers,” an oil painting by Waubonsee student Daniel Capobianco, is one of 22 student works included in the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference Juried Art Exhibition. The exhibit runs April 1-30 at the Sugar Grove Campus.

Waubonsee Community College is hosting this year’s Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference Juried Art Exhibition in the Dickson Center’s Arrowhead Room on the Sugar Grove Campus, Route 47 at Waubonsee Drive. The exhibit runs April 1-30 and can be seen from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. 

Awards will be presented at a special reception on Saturday, April 27, at 2 p.m. in the Arrowhead Room.  

The exhibit features the work of 21 students from eight area community colleges, including College of Lake County, Elgin Community College, McHenry County College, Moraine Valley Community College, Morton College, Oakton Community College, Prairie State College and Waubonsee.  

Representing Waubonsee are Daniel Capobianco and Karen Maret, both of Geneva.
