Waubonsee Receives Nine Marketing Awards

Waubonsee Community College recently received nine awards for the college’s marketing and communications.

Competing against more than 6,000 entries from throughout the U.S., Canada and other international markets, Waubonsee received eight MarCom awards — three platinum awards (the top award), three gold awards and two honorable mentions. Waubonsee won platinum awards for the 2012 Community Education "Live and Learn" season mailer, for the 2011 Report to the Community and also specifically for the design of the 2011 Report to the Community. The college received gold awards for the writing of the 2011 Report to the Community, for the college website and for the Plano Campus direct mail brochure. The college received honorable mentions for the 2012 cable television campaign and Learning First! student newsletter. The MarCom Awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.

The Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District V awarded Waubonsee a gold Pride of CASE V award for best tabloid/newsletter for external audiences for the college's Learning First! student newsletter. Waubonsee was one of only three community colleges to receive a Pride of CASE V award in 2012. CASE V includes colleges, universities, and private and independent schools in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin.
