Waubonsee Exhibit Spotlights Aurora

“Flow of Aurora” a photo by Holly Bliss, of Aurora, is one of the works currently on display as part of the “Picturing Aurora” exhibit in the first floor café of Waubonsee’s downtown Aurora Campus.

In commemoration of the 175th anniversary of the City of Aurora, Waubonsee Community College is hosting a “Picturing Aurora” art exhibit now through Dec. 13 in the first floor café at the downtown Aurora Campus, 18 S. River St. The exhibit can viewed from 7:15 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 7:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.

With works that showcase the uniqueness and beauty of the city, the exhibit features four student and alumni artists, including Holly Bliss, Timothy McCann and José Torres, all of Aurora; and Capo, of Geneva. 

An awards presentation and artists’ reception will take place on Thursday, Dec. 6 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
