Enhanced Online Registration System Available to Returning Students
One centralized online system replaces touch-tone phone registration and on-campus self-registration terminals
Online registration has been available to returningWaubonsee students for a few years now, but this spring, an enhanced online system debuts, one that will provide you with a single place to view all yourWaubonsee information and take care of all your college business.
This new system is called the Waubonsee Student Self-Service system, accessible online at https://webreg.waubonsee.edu. In addition to being the only way to register without having to fill out a paper registration form, the system includes other bonus features:
- Search - smarter.
Search for classes by subject, keyword, instructor, meeting dates, meeting times, etc. - Pay how you want.
Make a full or partial payment by credit card or from a bank account (checking/savings). - View your academic information.
When you log into the Waubonsee system, you can see what Waubonsee courses you've taken in the past, your academic major code, your class schedule for any given week and other important information. You'll also log onto this system to see your grades at the end of the semester. - Feel more secure.
You don't use your social security number or any other sensitive information to access this new online system. All you need is your randomly assigned "X" number (see box at right) and your PASSWORD, which you choose.
Your "X" Number - Learn It, Use It, Love It
To get to the online registration/student system, visit https://webreg.waubonsee.edu. Once at the login screen, you will be asked for your User ID number and PASSWORD.
User ID: This number is also called your "X" number and is your key to the system. Your e-mail address will be your "X"number@student.waubonsee.edu and they will continue to use webmail as they have in the past.
PASSWORD: Beginning March 28,2007 your PIN number will be replaced by the same password that you use to access e-mail, WebCT and any of the Academic Computer Labs. This will also simplify access to Waubonsee's computer systems.
If you have not logged into e-mail, WebCT or any of the academic computer labs this spring semester, your initial password will be your six-digit birth date (mmddyy). You will be asked to create a new password when you use Waubonsee's online registration and self-service system. This new password must be a minimum of eight (8) characters up to a maximum of twenty (20) characters. It can be all numbers or all letters, or a combination of both.

If you are creating a new password, you will also be asked to create new security questions. Answer these questions carefully. If you forget your password, correctly answering the security questions will allow you to reset it.

Note: New students must fill out a registration form and bring it to Admissions and Records, mail it or fax it to (630) 466-4964. They'll receive their "X" number and PASSWORD after their first registration.
