Workforce Solutions Scholarships

Need to train for a new career?

The Waubonsee Community College Foundation and Waubonsee’s Workforce Development department are pleased to offer the Workforce Solutions Scholarships – a limited number of scholarships for career training programs to those who meet eligibility requirements.

The awards include:

• Two - $2,000 awards for Truck Driver Training
• Five - $1,000 awards for a Workforce Development course costing $1,000 or more
• One - $500 award for a Workforce Development course costing $500 or more

Applicants must meet requirements of the program desired, as well as industry standards.  Awards will be determined based on financial need and the intended purpose of the training as expressed in the application statement. 

Submit the following documents to the Workforce Development office:

        1)  Workforce Solutions Scholarship Application Form  (pdf)   

        2)  Noncredit Registration Form  (pdf) 

        3)  A copy of the first page of your 2010 Federal tax return
                     Or
              Your two most recent pay stubs
                     Or
              Your most recent Wage Information Sheet from the
              Illinois Department of Economic Security (IDES)

Funds are limited – apply as soon as possible.  All documents should be submitted by mail or fax to:
