Truck Driver Training
Earn Your CDL at Waubonsee! In just four weeks, you can launch a new career as a professional Illinois licensed truck driver.
The trucking industry currently employs 1 out of every 19 people in the U.S. This profession continues to grow, with thousands of job openings available right now. In Waubonsee's four-week class, you will learn to drive with confidence. Our experienced instructors will work with you through a combination of classroom, yard skills, and over-the-road training to give you the knowledge and skills you need to succeed.

A new class begins every month. The course is held at Waubonsee's Truck Driver Training facility, 715 E. South Street, Plano, IL. This facility is approximately one mile west of the Waubonsee Community College campus in Plano on Route 34. Look for the sign that says “Niles Construction” in the front. You may see the Waubonsee trucks in the yard.
Cost
Tuition is $3,985. There are additional costs involved:
- $83 for a DOT drug screen and physical
- $12 for a State of Illinois Driver’s Abstract
- $50 testing fee to the State of Illinois
- Optional $89.25 for Hazardous Materials Endorsement
