OSHA Safety Day

"Every day in America, 12 people go to work and never come home. Every year in America, 3.3 million people suffer a workplace injury from which they may never recover. These are preventable tragedies that disable our workers, devastate our families, and damage our economy."

    – Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis, April 28, 2011 blog

Waubonsee’s  Workforce Development, working in partnership with the North Aurora office of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), presents Safety Day, an all-day workers’ safety seminar. This seminar, held every other year in March, features more than 30 OSHA speakers presenting information on safety issues, including OSHA’s Top 10 Violations, Accident Investigations, OSHA Training Requirements and Mock Inspections.

Safety Day 2014 was held March 19, 2014 at Waubonsee's Academic and Professional Center on the Sugar Grove Campus. Presentation handouts from most sessions are available for download.
