Professional Development

The Skills You Need to Succeed

Workforce Development offers noncredit courses designed for job seekers, career changers and professionals seeking advancement.  Short and focused, these courses cover a variety of areas, including computers, health care, supervisory skills, manufacturing and transportation. Plus, they are convenient, being offered both online and face-to-face at all four Waubonsee campus locations, on days, nights and weekends.

Led by practitioners with a wealth of "real world" knowledge and experience, our classes teach applicable and up-to-date skills and strategies. Many courses employ national guidelines and standards, leading to industry-recognized credentials and certifications. For example, through APICS, the Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) credentials are offered. OSHA, DOT, EPA and NFPA guidelines govern our safety seminars, while ASQ, ISO and QS9000 standards guide our quality seminars. Plus, course sizes are small in order to provide an optimal learning experience.

For a full list of Workforce Development offerings and class fees, view our online schedule. Once you choose a class, registering as a new noncredit student is easy.
