CNA Instructor - Train the Trainer Program

Certified Nursing Assistants are in demand and need training. Licensed Registered Nurses can now use their expertise and experience to become certified CNA Instructors through our five-day, state-approved Train-the-Trainer course. 

Class starts Friday, Dec. 12.

The CNA Instructor Train-the-Trainer course is designed to provide licensed registered nurses the knowledge and skills to become a Certified Nurse Aide Instructor in Illinois. Successful completion of this five-day course will enable nurses to instruct both the classroom and the clinical components of a CNA program. This CNA Train-the-Trainer Course is approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and includes the lecture on Alzheimer's Disease and the Evaluator Workshop. 

All class sessions meet from 8 a.m.– 5 p.m. on the following dates:

Friday, Dec. 12
Saturday, Dec. 13
Friday, Dec. 19
Saturday, Dec. 20 
Monday, Dec. 22 (Evaluator Workshop) 

Cost:   $599

Steps to enroll:

  1. All applicants must submit an Applicant Professional Practice Qualifications form so that their qualifications can be verified prior to participating in the course. See Ill. Administration Code 77, Section 395.160(a) for IDPH requirements, and download the requirements to enroll in the CNA Instructor: Train the Trainer course
  2. All applicants must complete and return the Waubonsee Community College Registration Form with their Applicant Professional Practice Qualifications Form. Payment is due at time of registration. 
  3. Applicants will be notified by email if they were accepted into the course. If not, payment and enrollment information will be returned.
