CNA Instructor - Train the Trainer Program
Nurses - utilize your expertise and experience to prepare students to become Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs). Become a certified CNA Instructor through our Train-the-Trainer course.
The next class starts Friday, May 16, 2014.
The CNA Instructor Train-the-Trainer course is designed to provide nurses the knowledge and skills to become a Certified Nurse Aide Instructor in Illinois. The program will prepare qualified registered nurses to develop and effectively teach basic CNA programs. This course is approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). The lecture on Alzheimer’s Disease and the Evaluator Workshop are included. Successful completion of this 5-day course will enable nurses to instruct both the classroom and the clinical components of a CNA program.
All class sessions meet from 8 a.m.– 5 p.m. on the following dates:
Friday, May 16, 2014
Saturday, May 17
Monday, May 19
Tuesday, May 20 (Evaluator Workshop)
Wednesday, May 21
Important: In order to verify that you meet IDPH requirements, all applicants must submit an Applicant Professional Practice Qualifications form prior to registering. See Ill. Administration Code 77, Section 395.160(a) for IDPH requirements, and download the requirements to enroll in the CNA Instructor: Train the Trainer course. Individuals who do not meet IDPH requirements will not be able to enroll in this class.
Steps to enroll:
- All applicants must submit an Applicant Professional Practice Qualifications form and receive confirmation to enroll prior to registering. This should be done as soon as posiible. You will be notified by phone or email regarding a confirmation to register.
- After you have received a confirmation of your qualifications, download, complete and return the Registration Form. Payment is due at time of registration. Registration opens March 3.
