LOCAL EXCURSIONS - FALL 2017

A Show, a Boat and an Ice Cream Social

First stop, Starved Rock State Park to tap your feet to the familiar sounds of "Motown Review."  Then, it's on to the Lock 16 Visitor Center and Café in LaSalle for an ice cream social. Concluding, canal mules Larry & Moe pull your barge along the 19th century canal in a journey reminiscent of pioneer days.

“The Christmas Schooner” at Memories Dinner Theater

Along the Wisconsin shore of Lake Michigan, Memories Dinner Theater hosts “The Christmas Schooner," which tells the true story of a shipping captain who braves the winter weather, sailing the icy waters of Lake Michigan, to bring Christmas trees to homesick German American families in turn-of-the-century Chicago. First stop, Downtown Port Washington.
